You have to keep searching, sometimes people just generally don't really mix well no matter what you try. Take blacks and whites, even before you get to the racist parts, the cultures are very different and at odds with each other. That's why white flight is a thing. IMHO, ultimately you're not obligated to stay around people you don't like, even family. Yeah you'll become a deadbeat/scumbag to many but do you really want to spend the rest of your life pleasing people who won't even acknowledge you as important in their life? We're not here forever man, one day the grey hairs will start flowing, the knees will creek, and the ride will soon be over.

Though by "family" I should clarify to mean cousins/siblings. You should stick around for as much as you can afford for your parents since you owe them like a quarter million dollars and infinity hours of sleep for raising you. Only in cases of really bad neglect/abuse should you ever truly abandon them.

Or stagnation. Some people just can't seem to let go of their silly ideas of being able to "fix" a family/friend who's let them down for the 10th time in a row. Like a white girl thinking she can change her boyfriend who's rap sheet includes armed robbery, attempted murder, arson, tax fraud, and so on and so on.... and is currently on probation with an unregistered firearm lol.

Thankfully I have a pretty good relationship with my family, it's just non family members who are a bit difficult to deal with
