Btw the new Ghost In The Shell is more faithful to the original manga, but I still prefer the 90s version

I'm a sucker for modern moe style Anime like Oreimo but recently I have been trying out Serial Experiments Lain since that's becoming more relevant as the internet itself becomes more alien/mysterious in nature (ie it's getting harder to tell if the latest image/video you see is fake or not).
TBH 90s anime may not be my cup of tea but the visual aspect does seem interesting at least. Can't imagine spending forever drawing that by hand.

It feels like the style hasn't changed in a while. I'd say the 80s, 90s, and 2000s all had distinct styles, but it feels like after the 2000s everything looks the same
