This is an attempt at replicating FvwmButtons using tcl and tk. For those who don't know, it's a module for making panels and status widgets. It can also embed other windows.
tcl seems like a good choice, because it's extensible and somewhat similar to fvwm's syntax. You don't have to know tk to use this either, because the helper functions handle the layouts and widgets for you. But you can also use tk commands to modify the widgets or integrate tk widgets in the frames. This works on any X11 wm.
If anyone is interested in this and want to contribute, I really want a window list similar to FvwmIconMan, but I'm not talented enough to write one.
I have also seen some anons who have made custom widgets using xlib or qt, so it would be interesting to see something similar if you have anything to share.
