>>992 (OP) It's ogre. If you don't start looking up local offerup/craglist/etc listings right now your phone will become your new computer in 2027 tbh.
>"As per the interview, David believes that the AI boom resulted in such a rise in DDR5 memory prices. Many major memory makers are now actively expanding their fabs to increase the production of DDR5 memory to fulfill the demand."
>>1002 I've actually been thinking about replacing my phone, but I heard smartphone prices are going up already so I'll just keep using this one until it breaks completely
It really is over. So much cope about prices going down in a year or two. If I were smart, I'd build something now, but I don't want to pay it, so I'll make do with what I have or maybe try and get some cheap ddr4 somewhere instead.
>>1335 There are some cracks forming on all this AI shit but it's hard to say if they'll amount to much in the next few years. As far as I can understand everyone is still high on FOMO gas despite the Leopold scandal.
Im starting to get blackpilled on the whole topic. yes there are cracks in the ai bubble or whatever, but they have always been there. yet it keeps getting worse. and despite all the slop, ai also offers incredible things. too bad i didnt prioritize ram or a good motherboard back in 2021 when i bought my current pc. its perfectly fine for gaming and all, but i doubt i will be able to buy a new one for the same money anytime soon, or maybe ever again.
