GATE

A portal to a fantasy world opens in modern-day Tokyo, and the Japanese Self-Defense Forces are sent through to establish a base on the other side. Otaku soldier Itami leads a squad that explores the new world and negotiates with its local residents while dealing with political pressures from Earth.
