I cannot believe this passed as normal for a music video N decades ago kek
I'll impose some cringe by sharing this here

I'm hispanic and from my point of view I think it would have led to more immigration for the worse. Some cultures just don't coexist with other ones without constant fighting.

Inflation wouldn't be as bad since there would have never been forever wars, you can barely buy fast food that fills you up for $5 anymore.

There's literally no place on the internet to discuss Magick and practical spiritual subjects anymore. Every modern forum on the topic is an overmoderated assembly of faggots, and every imageboard around is a basket case schizo central with no coherent discussion about it. Then you have the pseudo-skceptics (because they are not really skceptics, just retards shills) that have never in their god forsaken lives interacted with, and even less had any sort of experience regarding, mysticism and metaphysics.
Is anyone interested anymore? This is the conversation subject, but it has been propagandized with so much misconception and subversion that it set off people and everyone with real competent person participating and willing to share real perspective just fucked off. Early psionics and lucid dreaming forums, and the /r/DimensionalJumping and /r/Oneirosophy were good examples of competent online spaces, but their problem will always be that they are way too specific, and the ideal place would be a syncretic hollistically oriented place for all "magic" and mental science PSI phenomena. It's this topic just outright doomed in the dead of the internet? Subjected to be misunderstood by the masses and misdirected by helpless schizos? Is there hope for man?

Modern wageslavery is a fucking tragedy
Spending decades working companies that only see you as a resource, never achieving anything of significance, being around people who will backstab you the first chance they get
Last time I had time off I even felt like I smelled better because I wasn't stressed all the time
It's cheaper to pay people the minimum wage possible for their respective field and have people purchase their own domicile + provisions than it is to keep a slave like in the old chattel system
Just a fun fact.:^)

Anyone have that webm of the Israelis teaching people to edit Wikipedia? I wonder if they do the same for this

Moderna stock, $MRNA, surges over +145% after announcing the first ever positive Phase 3 results for a personalized cancer vaccine.
1 year:
- Full data to regulators; possible melanoma approval path
- Trials advance in lung, bladder, kidney cancers
2 years:
- Market entry if approved; custom manufacturing constrains supply
- Lower recurrence in high-risk melanoma via T-cells trained on unique tumor mutations
10 years:
- If broader success, adjuvant tool across solid tumors, reducing metastasis by targeting patient-specific antigens
- Scale and cost will gate real-world impact

Reminds me of the Jin Yoshida from the game Soma. I often wonder how bad his death must have been that it cracked open his high pressure suit helmet.

About 10 years ago I became interested in learning Japanese. Mostly because of anime, I just wanted to know what the basic konoyarou/tasukete/urusai stuff meant so I could focus better on the show's plot.
The tsukkomi/boke comedy in anime involving unecessary physical/emotional violence never fails to amuse me. I don't watch much anime these days but I have become interested in Japanese culture.
The Miko shrine maidens, Shinto shrines themselves, Geisha, tea ceremonies, Onsen, no tipping in restaurants, general lack of DEI, and so on and so on. All things that I wish the US would adopt.
Thus I've been on a journey, for a few years now, to pass the JLPT N5. I've bought many books on this but it's always turned into a 5 minute study session followed by 30 minutes of youtube.
Result: I can read common kanji compounds like 野菜、電話、入口, without furigana now and from memrise practice I know pretty much all hiragana/katakana. However I just can't power through the grammar parts.
SO I've signed up here: https://www.tokiniandy.com/
It's $10 a month and my hope is that this course dumbs it down enough for me to stick to it for longer than 5 mintues a day. I know some N5 stuff now so I hope it can boost me to N4 level this year alone.
I don't mean to shill this course and I have no idea if it will even be worth it. However my plan is to post updates here every week or so and let you all know how it's going.
I hope that this will help other anons here struggling with learning Japanese. It's an amusing/mysterious high-context language (see honne/tatemae) but it will break you especially with grammar.
Still, the challenge can be quite fun. Which is why I refuse to drop it. Gonna start tomorrow (today?) night so stay tuned.
I'm not an expert or anything, but I think nowadays it's pretty much impossible to build a community outside of big tech. I miss the good old days when you could google a subject and enter one of the countless websites and forums about the subject and they'd all be thriving

Yes that really feels like it
Work has been killing me lately
I swear modern wageslavery is 90% of the reason for declining birthrates if you also factor in people not having a stable life and home to raise their kids in when in their most fruitful years. Do away with wageslavery with a shorter workweek (or have a culture where either of the parents stays at home) and make sure that people can own homes in their early 20's so they feel ready for the "next step" in life and all the problems of declining birth rates will likely go away.
People don't want to spend time and money on kids when they don't have enough for themselves. Go figure.

Heavily-regulated capitalism is the way forward. All this bullshit about taxes and regulations somehow making le wealth creators decide to wageslave in abject penury is completely untrue. I can prove it:
>Low taxes encourage better businesses
Why don't companies founded in the Cayman Islands take off, then? All the successful companies in the Cayman Islands are companies that were founded in countries with normal tax rates, and then moved there. Native Cayman Islanders who actually live there must start their own businesses too, and none of them are globally successful, are they? They don't have their own Facebook, or Amazon, or Uber (all three of which were bankrolled by private equity and did not grow organically, of course).
>Regulations stifle growth
The heavily-regulated capitalism I am calling for is basically democratic socialism, like you see in Denmark and Finland and Sweden and so on. Those countries regularly top the charts as the absolute best countries in the world. This cannot be a coincidence.
That's some weird shit, they're weaponizing CP. And yeah I think country bans are definitely something that has to be enforced in cases like this

Allegedly the Janitorial staff got replaced with AI which does make Palantir involvement plausible. Picrel is going around and getting deleted.
Looks like something out of the SCP Foundation

I managed to endure about an hour of these videos, about halfway done with lesson 1 in the Genki 1 section, tokiniandy has 12 sections for this.
I took the N5 practice test from here: https://www.jlpt.jp/e/samples/forlearners.html
I got 6/14 right so I'm still at rock bottom but watching the video seems considerably less stressful than reading every beginner Japanese book I've tried.

Honest update: 3 months later and I still can't pass all the N5 sample questions on https://www.jlpt.jp/e/samples/forlearners.html
I don't blame tokiniandy though, the videos seem concise and to the point but it's like I'm too dumb to actually grasp the grammar points.
Like I have such a horrible time distinguishing when to use へ and に for location even though the video series seems to try to explain it to me.
I've only been chipping at them in 5 to 15 minute sessions per day max so my laziness hasn't helped either.
I dunno what to do maaaang, it's like I need to grow new braincells or something but I don't know how...
